The overarching purpose of this paper will be to design and analyze the Hernandez family’s genogram while identifying aspects concerning the Hernandez family, which might affect the manner in which Juan and Elena solve their concern through the assistance the social worker. As Sweeney, Baggerly, and Ray (2014) state, a genogram is a visual apparatus that depicts an individual’s family relationships as well as a history that spans beyond a traditional family tree. To achieve this crucial milestone, genogram has been found to be critical. According to Thomas, Liu, Umberson, and Suitor (2017), to have a comprehensive understanding of a family relationship, it is important to possess a broader scope of an entire family structure. Due to this complexity, it often becomes difficult to establish a meaningful connection, particularly during therapy sessions. Human relationships are complex and may pose a substantial challenge especially when dealing with social problems.
